Installation of floppy and hard drives, tape and CD Roms. Assembly, upgrade, troubleshooting and repair of clone PCs. Network Admin. for remote access, passwords and backups. Assembled a 486 server with 3 SCSI drives, 4 NICs, 32 meg ram, installed Novell 3.11, setup remote printers & ques. Cabled and installed thin net and 10 base T repeaters. Assembled RG 58 coax and 2 pair UTP Ethernet cabling. Installed Adaptec, Buslogic, and DTC, SCSI controllers.

FARGO / DATAMAX

Setup a shared Fargo thermal transfer printer on a network. Programmed decoders to scan and replicate bar codes.

INTERMEC

Built an adapter to use Symbol lasers on Intermec decoders. Adapted Symbol laser interface to Intermec Janus terminals. Interfaced Symbol PDT to Intermecwedge via aux. RS 232.

SYMBOL TECHNOLOGIES

Assisted end users with complex ADF programming of LL500s. Interfaced wand & serial data to data collection devices. Built an adapter for two Symbol lasers to share one port.

TELXON

Serviced Telxon based RF systems at Avis rental at S.F.O. Serviced receiver installations for grocery distributors. Co-wrote assembly language wand board diags for Telxon 701. Worked on DOD Logmars systems at various military sites.

UNITED BAR CODE INDUSTRIES

Altered Maxibar EPROMS for DEC VT420 key substitution. Maxibar configuration for RS232 scale tare and weight check.

OTHER SYSTEMS INTEGRATION PROJECTS

Worked with 20 ma current loop and Accusort fixed scanners. Wrote code 39 print program for dot matrix and Laser Jets. Designed a system to replace punch cards with bar codes. Created a library of configuration menus for faxing.
